Dot architecture were approached to appraise this residential sites. Initially, a single dwelling on a large triangular shaped plot, we looked at the possibility of demolishing the original house and replace with two large and exciting dwellings. After taking the appraisal to a more detailed design stage, it looked as a viable option for the site, and full planning permission was applied for and duly granted. The design concept was to follow the consistent form of the close, but to use far more contemporary finishes, such as sand blasted stone cladding, timber louvres, aluminium and render. Plenty of natural light floods the exciting interior spaces created.
